Delano first joined Streetlight in January 2005, when Jamie Egan left to spend more time with his family. Delano's first show was at Rowan University on the 25th of January 2005, where he proved his trumpet abilities and was also part of the first performance of "Point/Keasbey Nights/Counterpoint".
His was then thrown head-first into touring life with Streetlight when they embarked upon the Ska is Dead 2 tour 4 days later. After this they were to tour Europe for the first time, starting with the UK. Unfortunately Streetlight were to suffer several difficulties during this tour, the first of which was that Delano was unable to fly out due to his Jamaican citizenship. This left Streetlight with a 3 man horn section, and consequentially unable to play "That'll Be the Day" due to its heavy reliance on the trumpet. Delano was eventually able to obtain a visa from the British embassy which enabled him to fly out for the last few dates, however the visa was only valid for the UK and so he had to return when Streetlight headed to mainland Europe.
